President - Michelle Ducre- has 10 years of Human Resources experience as a Generalist and Safety Manager in the corporate and non-profit sectors. She is currently Director of Development for Community Foundation of the Ozarks-Southwest Missouri Region, and manages Joplin (Tornado) Recovery Fund grant making. She is chair of finance and donations for the Long Term Recovery Committee, and serves on the Citizens Advisory Response Team to assist with rebuilding Joplin after the May 22, 2011 tornado. She is past Board Member of the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce (Vice Chair of Membership), and currently is President of the Southwest Missouri Estate Planning Council. Michelle is completing a Masters degree in Human Resources Development at Pittsburg State University. Let's leave our heart print on the world, while doing great business.
Vice President- Mariella Platner, SPHR - Mariella has spent the last three years as HR Director for the Tribal Government of the Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma. Prior to that, she was the HR Director for Devore Trucking / Sundance Investments. Before moving to the United States, she served in upper HR management positions for large international companies in Europe, in the retail and insurance industries. Mariella has earned her SPHR certification several years ago, and last year she also earned a certification as Tribal Human Resource Professional from the National Native American Human Resource Association. She is excited to serve as Treasurer and Chapter Community Director for the TSHRA, as that will give her a chance to work with more great professionals in our area and assist the tri-state business community with their HR and compliance needs.
Treasurer, Melanie Rollins, SPHR - A Human Resource professional with over 15 years of experience, Melanie has worked as an HR General with a variety of HR functions, including staffing, employee development, compensation and benefits. She is currently the HR Manager at Blitz U.S.A. Inc. in Miami, OK. She complete her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) in 2004 and then the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) in 2009. Melanie has been a SHRM member for over 7 years and joined Tri-State HR two years ago for networking opportunities and to learn more from other HR professionals.
